Writing in different forms.

Writing the Sorcerer of Runes story is quite a task. At the moment, I am just writing the chapters where some seem to fit into the whole story, some are combining lots of scenes, other texts are being cut out by large amounts.

It’s almost as if you are trying to create a Frankenstein with the amount of text that’s being cut out. And don’t get me wrong, there is newer stuff there too, like there is a greater understanding with what you are trying to write about throughout the story, and in a way, trying to break the limits of the story.

Think of scenes that can break the characters, change them in ways that I wouldn’t have anticipated. I have to say, there was a particular song in one of the games I take a pretty big inspiration out of, deltarune, and there was a song that I was listening to.

With the scene that was shown, I have to admit, the song and the music together conveys the scene SO well! I remember when I first seen it, I couldn’t stop watching it for days on end. And to somehow create a scene which…

Personally when using scenes or music, take inspiration from it. I was really questioning this particular scene. How it can show a fracturing of a character that almost seems impossible to fix once it happens. And when it does, it can really show the ugly of them?

What’s the point of this?

Ideally, when you write something, you’d want to be able to convey an emotion to the audience on whose reading it. The way it would need to be expressed is proper, easy to understand and it conveys the heart of who you are and what you want to talk about.

Something that I have been trying to write outside of my writing is a letter… With letters, there’s a different kind of care that comes towards it, because it is going to go towards a specific person or group, unlike stories where just about anyone who appreciates the genre is going to get their hands on it.

But when it comes towards writing of a smaller size, there’s a greater thought into it. Maybe even sensitivity. I can’t be sure. The best way I can describe it is when there’s certain emotion, thoughts, feelings and care towards the recipient, sometimes there needs to be a thought and care into how the message is conveyed AND how it’ll be received.

At least, those are my thoughts as I am writing it down. Even though… There’s such a fear that comes into mind of how the person who reads the text will see it. Thinking about the type of people who’ll read it, and act accordingly depending on topic and the type of people who’ll read it.
